Carolyn's Choc Chip Cookies

So this is the first recipe and it's my sister-in-law (Carolyn)'s recipe. It's very good. Sometimes I mix it up with some macadamia nuts. This is a chewy, soft cookie if you follow the recipe and mix by hand. If you use a food processor (and I don't think Rose would use a processor!) or omit the soft brown sugar, you'll get a totally different biscuit. Ok, well off you go, share the love....x! Marijke

p.s. these are great to make with kids

125g butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup soft brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1&3/4 cup self raising flour
1 cup choc chips

Pre-heat oven 175 c. Cream butter & sugars together, then mix in vanilla and egg. Add flour and mix adding choc chips in at the end. Take dessert spoon sized balls and press onto a tray and bake for 10 minutes. They spread out to double original size. Makes approx. 18
